He is a former communications director for BellSouth (AT&T), executive speechwriter and issues manager for Grumman (Northrop Grumman) and financial communications manager for MCI. He also served as VP of Marketing Communications for iXL/Scient. He began his career with Grey Advertising/GCI Group in New York. He received his B.A. from Syracuse University and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
